Buying a Tesla with Finance
You submit your application: Tell us about your financial situation and the Tesla want to buy. If you haven't found a vehicle yet or confirmed your order, that's fine - we can assess a maximum lending amount so you know your budget first.
We review your application: We assess your application and identify the options best suited to your financial situation.
Ordering a new Tesla: New Teslas are ordered directly from tesla.com/en_nz. Once your loan is approved and loan contracts are signed, you can complete your Tesla order.
Buying a used Tesla: Either via a dealer or private sale, you'll need to provide us with the vehicle details and complete a sale and purchase agreement.
Settlement: Once contracts are signed and the final paperwork is in order, we arrange payment directly to the dealer or seller.
What you'll need
To keep things moving smoothly, have the following ready before or shortly after you apply for your Tesla loan:
- A current and valid New Zealand driver's licence
- Three months of bank statements
- Proof of income - bank evidenced, payslips or tax returns if you're self-employed
- If buying privately: a sale and purchase agreement. We have a template if you need one.
- If buying from a dealer: the customer information notice (CIN) and the signed Vehicle Sale and Offer Agreement (VOSA)
- A certificate of insurance from your insurer confirming the vehicle is insured. Your insurer can provide this by email.
